Restaurant Business Plan Writing Service
Having worked with many business owners, from start-ups to existing establishments, to some of the most highly respected and internationally renowned chefs and restaurateurs in the industry, I know that every restaurant, bar or bistro is different.
Therefore, I do not provide “off the shelf” business plans – instead – I offer a uniquely bespoke and professional restaurant business plan writing service whether you’re looking to finance your new restaurant concept, or to grow and expand your current operations.
I have been a professional business plan writer for over 10 years. However, I don’t just write business plans, I also run several businesses, so understand exactly what needs to be included in your plan to make it a viable and commercial success.
Restaurant Business Plan Writing Process
So you know exactly what to expect, here is a summary overview of how I work:
Complimentary Discovery Call
The purpose of this complimentary telephone session is to discover more about you, your restaurant business and the purpose of the business plan. We will also get clear on exactly what you are looking for. No hard sell, no sales pitch, just an opportunity to see if we’re a good fit for one another.
Business Plan Questionnaire
Having sent over a proposal and if we’ve then agreed to work together, I will email over a questionnaire for you to complete. I use this and any additional information to begin to work on the “body” of the business plan. Ultimately the quality of the business plan will depend on the quality of information you provide – so the more detailed the better!
That said, I often liaise with clients during the writing process, as it is very likely I will need to draw more and extra information from you. Before I begin work on your restaurant business plan, I also ask for a 50% deposit of the agreed fee – please see below for further details on fees.
Completing the Draft Restaurant Business Plan
It can take 3 to 4 weeks to complete the business plan draft. The timescale will often depend on the scale of the business operations, the degree of information already provided and what additional details I need from you, as well as the complexity of the funding proposition.
I can and will often work to specific deadlines, depending on my workload at the time. As mentioned previously, you will receive a completely bespoke and comprehensive business plan for your restaurant (typically 30 – 35 pages in length), which will include all the components detailed below. In fact, the “draft” business plan I send, in most cases, is near enough the final version.
Review of Business Plan
Once I have sent over the draft business plan, you have 3 workings days to review and email back any specific amendments. I will then incorporate any amendments in to the business plan – and once the remaining balance has been paid – you will receive both a Word document and pdf version of the business plan, the financial forecasts, appendices – including any additional information I have sourced for reference.
What’s included in the Restaurant Business Plan
My business plans will always include all or most of the components as described below:
- Executive Summary
- Financial Summary
- Business History and Objectives
- Concept and Service
- Sample Menu
- Target Customer Profile
- Market Overview
- Competitor Analysis
- SWOT Analysis
- Marketing Strategy
- Legal Requirements
- Management Team and Staff
- Financial Analysis
- Financial Forecasts
(e.g. Cash Flow Forecast and P&L Account)
- Relevant Appendices
Do you provide sample business plans?
The short answer is no. For the last 10 years I have always maintained the highest level of confidentiality for my clients. You wouldn’t want a competitor seeing your business plan, and therefore I never share my client’s business plans.
For assurance and client feedback please visit my results page.
My fees will often depend on a number of factors: the purpose of the business plan, the information you already have available, the scope and scale of your operations and how much finance is required. Fees start from £1,400 (far more competitive than many other providers).
I ask for 50% deposit before I begin work, with the remaining 50% to be paid before I send you the final business plan.
